From Nov. 26 to Dec. 8, 2012, the COP18/CMP8 DOHA 2012 was held at Doha, Qatar. Captained by Prof. Guangju Chen (President of BNUZ), BNU and BNUZ team participated in the conference and attended China Pavilion on Nov. 30. This is the first time for BNU-BNUZ team to attend the conference and make contribution to climate protection in China, developing countries and the world with the research achievement BNU-BNUZ got in the field of climate change.

During the conference, Prof. Chen carried out an overview of BNU-BNUZ team’s research achievement and major progress in global climate change. Moreover, BNU-BNUZ team would offer continually support to research in this field.

Prof. Wenjie Dong was invited to deliver a conference report. He hopes that BNU-BNUZ team can explore a fair and sustainable road for all humankind to face climate change with domestic and foreign counterparts. He said led by Beijing Normal University, the important research results conducted by several domestic universities and research institutions were done by the mainframe computers of Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai campus. Dr. CUI Xuefeng also delivered a speech to introduce his research findings which was published in National Academy of Sciences, USA. The team also answered questions raised by domestic and foreign counterparts. Related officers speak highly of the research achievements that BNU team got.
