BNUZ Student Performed Well in the 1st Guangdong College Student Mind Sports Games

On Dec. 3, 2012, BNUZ Chess Club, with GE Tai and LI Jinglan as the key members, participated in the 1st Guangdong College Student Mind Sports Games and achieved great results. This event was organized by Student Federation of Sports and Arts in Guangdong Province and Guangdong Chess Sports Management Center. It carried out competition on Chinese chess, gobang, chess, and Weiqi and bridge projects. After two-day fierce competition, GE Tai, who is also the head of BNUZ Chess Club, got 2nd prize in Chess Men’s Competition. LI Jinglan got 3rd prize in Chinese Chess Men’s Completion.

This game brought together over 150 players from many colleges and universities in Guangdong Province. Players all displayed great mental outlook and tried their best for the competition as well as enjoyed it. The leadership of the Federation of Sports and Arts and the match referee highly praised the performance of BNUZ players.

BNUZ Chess Club, established in year 2006, is one of the early established associations and clubs at BNUZ, enjoys strong influence in the school communities. Moreover, it has got prizes in various competitions on behalf of BNUZ. This club aims to develop student’s interest on chess and offer a platform for chess lover to communicate with each other.
