In the morning of December 12th, the commendation meeting of Government Award to the 4th Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievements, also the closing ceremony of the 8th Social Science Popularization Week of Zhuhai were held. During the Popularization Week, BNUZ team participated in a number of social activities, and won several awards.

The Social Science Popularization Week of Zhuhai was held by Propaganda Department of Municipal Party Committee and Federation of Social Sciences during 29th of November to 12th of December, 2012. In that week, BNUZ took part in a number of activities positively and successfully held three lectures, which were about the response to group events by Prof. Shuxue Song, the reform of welfare countries by Prof. Huaan Zhao, and the science fiction and realities by Prof. Yan Wu from the Research Center of Science Fiction and Creative Education in BNU.

In the commendation meeting of Government Award to the 4th Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievements, 33 projects successfully won prizes. BNUZ won a first prize, three second and three third prizes.

In the Awards of Social Science Popularization Week of Zhuhai, Prof. Mingyuan Zhang was awarded the title of Social Science Popularization Expert; Prof. Desheng Wang was awarded the Outstanding Social Science Popularization Worker, and his series books which was selected and recommended by BNUZ won the Outstanding Social Science Popularization Works.

The award-winning personnel from BNUZ and the head of Zhuhai Social Science Planning Project attended the closing ceremony.
