In the morning of December 15th, 2013, Prof. Ekkehart Baumgartner, head of Akademie Mode & Design, Faculty of Design and Mr. Gerold Muhr, vice-president of Brand Academy-University of Applied Sciences visited BNUZ. Prof. Fu Ailan, BNUZ’s Vice President, Prof. Xu Yafei, Dean of School of Design, Mr. Zhang Yiping, Assistant to Dean of School of Design,and Dr. Gan Chunyan, Director of International Affairs Office met with the guests in BNUZ International Center.

In the meeting, Prof. Fu Ailan, on behalf of BNUZ, expressed warm welcome to Prof. Ekkehart Baumgartner and Mr. Gerold Muhr for their visit and then she introduced the history and development of BNU and BNUZ, with emphasize on the features and growth of BNUZ. Prof. Fu also expressed her hope to carry out various feasible cooperative projects to cultivate more talents with global vision.

Prof. Ekkehart Baumgartner then expressed his appreciation for BNUZ’s warm reception and made a brief introduction about AMD, Faculty of Design, especially the excellent faculty and the various opportunities of practices. Prof. Ekkehart Baumgartner pointed out that teachers and students are very much looking forward to participating in academic exchanges with universities in China. Both sides had a heated discussion on the potential cooperative programs such as 2+2 credit articulation program, summer program and collaborative research platform, etc. It is a mutual hope that the two universities can make joint efforts to cultivate more future world citizens.

At last, heads of the two universities signed the agreement on undergraduate program, which is a milestone to mark the start of productive cooperation between the two universities.
