From November 15th to 22nd, BNUZ’s Vvice Ppresident Prof. Wu Zhongkui, Professor Dong Wenjie and Ddirector of Office of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Affairs Wei Xin were invited to Warsaw, Poland and attended to attend the 19th 19th Meeting of the Parties to "the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change" and the 9th 9th Meeting of the Parties to the "Kyoto Protocol", as Special Observers from non-governmental organizations.

During the meeting, the delegation participated in series of side events namely "Chinese Perspective", as well as other activities of the United Nations Climate Change Conference. Professor Dong Wenjie is the lead author of the Working Group Report of the Fifth IPCC Assessment. He made a keynote speech at the meeting, and communicated with other delegates on matters of international cooperation on climate change researches.

On the basis of the high-performance computing environments at BNUZ, the multi-model climate change projections and attribution research contributed a lot to the negotiation with strong scientific evidences, which is highly appraised by the Chinese delegation.
