On 24th October afternoon, the Granting Ceremony of BNUZ 2014 International Exchange Special Fund & Commendation of Summer Program was held in International Center. Prof. FU Ailan, vice president of BNUZ, Mr. CHEN Wensheng, representative of Donors, teachers from BNUZ academic division, office of international exchange and cooperation, and the foundation, participated in the ceremony.

The students, be granted with the funds, shared their experience, and they all believed that they gained a lot from the international exchange programs they took part in. And they will continue study hard and try their best to promote the exchange programs.

The tutor of summer program at Oxford University, Ms. GAN Xing give a speech as the representative of the tutors. She highly appreciated students’ behavior during the program. And she hoped that all the students can make full use of what they gained from this program, keep studying and learn more in the future.

Prof. Fu summarized the meaning of student international exchange project. She said that BNUZ focused on students’ abilities of humanities research, international vision, and sustainable development. To achieve these, BNUZ has devoted a lot resources to provide BNUZ students opportunity for international study. In the speech, she mentioned that related departments will cooperate and to establish and promote more profound projects.

And BNUZ will focus on the two-way project, not only to send BNUZ students to study abroad, but also recruit overseas students to learn Chinese culture in BNUZ. And BNUZ tries its best to enhance students’ abilities of cross-cultural study, cross-cultural research and decision making.

BNUZ has held 12 summer programs in 2014, and 267 students participated in these programs.
