During April 12-14, 2012, Prof. Kelvin Vessey, Associate Vice-President and dean of Graduate studies and Research of SMU, and Prof. Wayde Crawford, Project Manager of Business Development Centre of SMU, visited BNUZ. Prof. Ellen Fu, Vice President and Dr. Pansy Gan, Director of Office of International Affairs greeted SMU delegation at the International Centre.

A meeting was held, aiming to discuss about joint education between both universities. And after the discussion, both parties clarified the current situation for establishing joint education program and institution at the preparation stage, and the difference in terms of laws and regulations on this issue. Both sides further confirmed necessary endeavour for next step.

Moreover, accompanied by BNUZ, SMU delegation visited and toured UIC, also held face-to-face talk with Dr. Wendy Chan, Associate Vice-President of UIC, which had enabled further communication about the current situation of joint education in China. Later on, discussions about the postgraduate program had been held between BNUZ schools and SMU delegation.

A campus tour was successfully conducted for the visitors, and they all showed their strong confidence on promoting more collaborative programs at BNUZ.
