On March 16th, the opening ceremony of BNUZ-UK Alumni Association Shenzhen Club was successfully held in Ivy• Mingde Academy of Shenzhen. The vice minister of International Business Faculty Prof. Wenrong Feng, assistant ministers Prof. Yuping Lan and teacher Tongyao Zhang, and vice secretary of the general party branch teacher Lina Zhao attended the ceremony.

The opening ceremony formally began at three in the afternoon. The host Yi Zhu read the congratulatory letter from BNUZ Alumni Association to its UK branch. Prof. Wenrong Feng, the vice minister of International Business Faculty offered an opening speech. Prof. Feng firstly conveyed congratulations to the club establishment and greetings to alumni from the minister Yiping Li and vice minister Xiaohong Bian. She pointed out that alumni are significant resources to BNUZ, as well as the International Business Faculty. The Alma Mater is gratified and delighted to see the achievement of UK alumni. They are warmly welcomed to back to BNUZ, and to offer suggestions to its development. Subsequently, Chaoming Wei, the president of UK Alumni Association expressed the meaning and purpose of the establishment of the Shenzhen Club. With the purpose of improving exchange and cooperation of UK alumni, more platforms for alumni communication will be established both in UK and China.

After the ceremony, cocktail reception was held in the Shenzhen Club. Teachers and alumni talked cordially and took pictures together. The atmosphere was affectionate and harmonious. The activity venue was freely offered by Ivy• Mingde Academy of Shenzhen, which was established by BNUZ alumni Mr. Di Ji and Ms. Yi Zhu.
