Mr. Stefan Gallon, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Guangzhou visited BNUZ, in the company of Reinhard Stuth, Counselor of Hochschule für Kommunikation und Management - University of Applied Sciences, and Prof. Shan Fan, President of Design Factory International, College of Communication Art and New Media. BNUZ president prof. Tu Qingyun and vice president prof. Fu Ailan met with the delegation at the International Center.
During the meeting, Prof. Tu Qingyun first expressed his welcome to the delegation and also hoped that Consulate General could continue to give more support to the cooperation between BNUZ and the higher educational institutions in Germany.
Prof. Fu Ailan then introduced the basic information about BNUZ as well as the features of our existing cooperative programs, and she also expressed heartfelt thanks to of the Federal Republic of Germany in Guangzhou.
Mr. Zhang Yiping, Dean of BNUZ-German Cooperative Program, also introduced to the delegation about our cooperation with the higher educational institutions in Germany in the past decade. Since 2003 when such program was first established, we have achieved remarkable results in cultivating talents with visions of multi-culture under the Germany scheme of dual-training education system.
After the meeting, Consul General Stefan Gallon, as an honored guest, also cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony of Students Design Work Exhibition. At the opening ceremony, Stefan Gallon highly praised the students' design work and talked with the faculty and students. He also said that the Consulate General would provide full support on student visa and Germany is always welcome to Chinese students.
