On Dec. 7th, 2013, a delegation of BNUZ Alumni Association UK Chapter returned to their Alma Mater - Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai. This marks the second time of such alumni revisit. They met with BNUZ leadership and shared their experiences about studying and living at UK. Prof. Zhu Meilin, Secretary General of BNUZ Alumni Association, and Dr. Lu Shuying, Deputy Secretary general of BNUZ Alumni Association and some other faculty warmly received them.

During the meeting, Mr. Wei Chaoming, President of UK Chapter, who graduated from the University of Warwick, extended sincere thanks for the support from BNUZ Alumni Association on behalf of UK Chapter. He introduced the development of UK Chapter in the past years and also briefed the audience about UK alumni’s life and study. To further facilitate their development, both sides discussed on network platform sharing as well as supports in other fields.

In the evening, the UK Chapter delegates also gave a lecture on their experiences about studying in UK, including why choose UK, how to prepare for it, different aspects of studying at UK, and job hunting after graduation. As most of the delegates are graduates of BNUZ International Business Faculty(IBF), IBF faculty also met with them, including Ms. Feng Wenrong and Ms. Bian Xiaohong, deputy deans of IBF, Mr. Zhang Tongyao, Assistant Dean of IBF, Ms. Zhao Lina, Deputy Secretary of IBF Party General Branch.

The past years witnessed an increasing growth of UK Chapter. This year over 500 alumni are at UK and around 50 alumni work at UK after their graduation. This time, 14 delegates in total returned to BNUZ, including several who came back all the way from Shanghai and Changsha for this activity.

Established in October, 2010, UK Chapter aims to strength the connection between UK alumni and BNUZ. As a non-governmental and non-profit organization, it helps to promote peace as well as BNUZ’s international influences. It’s headquatered in London, UK,and includes 8 branches. This year, all the delegates are BNUZ graduates who pursuited further study in UK between 2003 and 2010. They all graduated from famous UK universities such as University of Cambridge, Imperial College, London School of Economics, University of Warwick, University of Durham, Cass Business School, University of Bristol, University of Birmingham, Aston University.
