BNUZ School of Art and Communication Successfully Held the Lecture of Cultural Creativity and Mass Tourism

On September 25th, Prof. Zhao Jinlin was invited by BNUZ School of Art and Communication to give a lecture about cultural creativity and mass tourism. The Dean of School of Art and Communication Prof. Chen Jiming, relevant person in charged from the major of Culture Industry Management, and more than 200 students participated.

Through live examples and data, Prof. Zhao Jinlin expressed that the international market has changed dramatically with the development of emerging economies and the rise of both domestic and international tourism market. He introduced his ideas from the prospectives of tourism products’ control, destination and relationship marketing, price competition in the network era, advantages of price information, marketing innovation, and special promotions. Then, new management concepts in tourism and the promotion of IT development for hotel industry were also analyzed in detail.

Prof. Chen Jiming said, Prof. Zhao Jinlin’s lecture has strong data support. The abundant information and broad perspectives provided a great opportunity for the presence to learn. The participated students also expressed that they have obtained lots of professional knowledge, and their horizons were broaded through face to face communication with the famous specialist.

Prof. Zhao Jinlin is a specialist of international culture and tourism, and also a world-renowned management elite in the tourism and cultural industry. He is a tenured professor, supervisor for master and doctoral studies, and the director of Postgraduate Department in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management in Florida International University. In addition, he also services as a officer in the Economic Commission of International Hotel Association, the Special Advisor to the Chinese Tourist Hotel Association, director of the training department for Beijing Olympics food service, and the director of Beijing Olympics food service department.
